The Spread the word section on a Program’s Resources tab shares the same joining link as your counter QR code. It gives you an invitation to edit, a preview picture built from your card, and one button for each channel. Every button opens that channel’s own share page in a new tab, where you are signed in as yourself and press Post. LoyalPack never posts for you and cannot see what you post.
- Open Loyalty Programs, choose your Program, then the Resources tab.
- Scroll to Spread the word. Your Invitation starts as a short standard message; change it if you like. The count under the box shows how much of the 500 characters you have used, and an emoji counts as one.
- Choose Save invitation. Your words are kept for next time. The buttons always use the words on screen, saved or not.
- Press a channel’s button in the row under Your joining link. When the row cannot hold every channel at your screen size, the rest are under More.
- Finish the post on the channel’s own page.
Copying the pieces
- Copy Message, above the invitation, copies your words alone.
- Copy Link, above Your joining link, copies the link alone.
- Copy Image, above the Message preview, puts the picture itself on your clipboard, ready to paste into a post. Where a browser cannot copy a picture, or refuses, it says so: use Download Image and attach the file instead.
What each channel fills in
- Facebook and LinkedIn take the link only. Neither accepts a message from a website, so press Copy Message first and paste it into the post. The title and picture in the preview come from your sign-up page.
- X opens a new post with your message and the link already in it. A post is limited to 280 characters and the link counts as 23, whatever its length. Add your X username under the row if you want the post to say “via @yourname”: it is optional, it is not a sign-in, and nothing is checked with X.
- Pinterest opens its Save window with the link, your message as the description and the tall version of your card picture. Pinterest fetches the picture from us; there is nothing to upload.
- Reddit opens a new post with the link and your message as the title (Reddit limits titles to 300 characters). You choose the community.
- WhatsApp and Telegram open with your message and the link ready to send, and ask you which contact, group or chat it goes to.
- On a phone, and on some computers, a Share button beside Copy Message also opens your device’s own share sheet with the message and the link, for any app that is installed.
The picture
The Message preview is built from your Program’s card, your business name and your offer, and it changes when any of those change. Facebook, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Telegram fetch it themselves when they show your link, and Pinterest is handed it directly. Use Copy Image or Download Image to attach it to a post yourself where a platform does not fetch it; a downloaded picture is never attached for you.
A platform that has already shown your link may keep the picture and title it saw first for a while, even after you disable the Program. That cache belongs to the platform, not to LoyalPack, and it clears in its own time.
Starting again
Reset to defaults puts the standard invitation back and clears the X username. Tick the box beside it first; nothing you have already posted is touched.
If a Program is disabled, its sign-up page is closed, so the share buttons and the picture are withdrawn until it is enabled again. Your invitation is kept.
