Both signs are on the Resources tab of the Program they belong to, under QR Code Download. Each one shows you what it will look like as you type, and each prints as a PDF at its real size.
They are printed in your own colours
Both signs, and the 64mm x 40mm Sticker Sheet below them, are printed edge to edge in your brand colour with the wording in white, a fine border inside the trim, and the code on a white card with a border of its own. That white card is what a phone camera needs to read the code, so it is there whatever colour you have chosen.
The two signs also show a phone angled in from the left, carrying this Program’s own card design: the colours, the stamp icon and the background you chose on the Card Design tab. Change the card and the signs change with it, so what a customer sees on the sign is what lands in their wallet. Under the phone and the code is your Call To Action, with a curved arrow pointing from it to the code.
Your logo goes at the top. If you have added a Wide Logo it is used across the masthead on its own, because a wide logo already carries your name. If you have only added a Brand Icon it sits above your business name instead. With neither, your business name takes the space, which is a design rather than a gap. Both logos are under Account, then Settings, in Business branding.
If you have picked a very pale brand colour, the signs print it a shade or two deeper so the white wording can still be read across a room. Everything else about the colour, including the hue, is exactly the one you chose.
The Table Talker
A standing sign for a table, a windowsill, a shelf or a waiting area: anywhere somebody has a moment and their phone in their hand. It is printed in your own brand colour with your logo at the top, and carries your business name, two lines you choose, and the code on a white card. One A4 sheet makes two of them, and each one reads from both sides, so it works whichever way the table is facing.
- Open Loyalty Programs and choose the Program you want.
- Open the Resources tab and find Table Talker.
- Change the headline and the line under the code if you want to. The preview follows what you type.
- Choose Download A4 Tent Sheet, and print it on A4 at actual size with any scale-to-fit setting turned off.
Folding the table talkers
Under the Table Talker’s download button, View setup guide opens a picture of the steps over the page: cut, fold, peel and stick. Close it and you are back where you were.
The sheet is printed as a template, all of it in the same light grey. One line runs down the middle on a long dash, with a small pair of scissors on it at the top and the bottom: that is the one you cut. Three finer dotted lines run across it: those are the ones you fold, and the top and bottom two are marked “fold here”. Those words and the scissors sit in the bands that end up glued inside the finished sign, so nobody ever sees them.
- Cut down the long-dashed line in the middle, the one with the scissors on it. You now have two tall strips, one sign each.
- Take a strip and fold it on the middle dotted line, with the printing outwards. That fold is the top ridge of the sign.
- Fold the top and bottom bands, the ones with no artwork on them, underneath.
- Glue or tape those two bands to each other. That pad is the base the sign stands on.
- Repeat with the other strip.
The two faces on the upper half of the sheet are printed upside down on purpose. Once the sheet is folded over the middle they are the right way up, so the finished sign reads correctly from both sides of the table.
The Counter Sign
A5, which is half a sheet of A4, and sized for the acrylic stand that sits beside a till. It carries the same things the Table Talker does, at the larger size somebody paying can read from across the counter.
- Open the Resources tab and find Counter Sign.
- Change the two lines if you want to.
- Choose Download Counter Sign and print at actual size. On A4 paper, print at 100% and trim to the A5 edge.
- Slide the sign into your stand.
Every phone in the country can scan a QR code with its camera, which is why the code is the big thing on both signs and nothing on either asks a customer to do anything else.
Which sign goes where
- Counter Sign: beside the till, facing whoever is paying, in the stand.
- Table Talker: standing on tables, on a shelf by the door, or wherever people wait.
- 64mm x 40mm Sticker Sheet: on jars, bags, menus, receipts and windows, wherever there is no room for a sign.
Both signs carry the Program’s own code, which never changes, so a sign you printed last year still works. Changing your colour or your logo does not break anything already on a counter; it only changes what comes out next time you print one.
