Undo a reward spent by mistake

Earning and spending rewards

There is no undo button, but this is the one mistake you can put back exactly as it was.

Say it plainly first: nothing in LoyalPack voids a spent reward. There is no cancel and no undo button, and the record of it stays. What you can do is put the customer back where they were, which from their side is the same thing.

Putting it back

  1. Scan the customer’s card again.
  2. Tap Award stamp once for each stamp the reward cost. On a nine-stamp card, that is nine taps.
  3. Check the count on screen matches what they had before.

Because spending takes off exactly the number the reward cost, adding that many back leaves the card exactly as it was.

What stays on the record

The spent reward still counts in Reports, so your rewards total will be one higher than the number of rewards you actually handed over. If that matters for a stocktake, the Audit Log shows the reward spent and the stamps you added back right after it, which is a clear enough story for anybody reading it later.

The reverse mistake cannot be undone. A stamp given by accident stays given, so it is worth checking the name on screen before tapping anything.

Still stuck?

If none of this covers it, send us a message and a person will reply. Tell us what you were doing when it went wrong, and we can usually sort it in one message.

So we can reply. We use it for nothing else.

Optional. Handy if it is quicker to talk it through.

A few words, such as: stamps not showing on a card.

What you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead.
