Upload your own card background

Card design

Use one of your own photographs behind the stamps, and what to send so it works.

  1. Open your Program and go to the Card Design tab.
  2. In the Background section, find Background image.
  3. Drag a file onto it, or use Choose a file, or Paste Image if you have copied one. On a phone or tablet, Take photo opens the camera.
  4. If you took a photo, fit it in the window we show: drag to move it, use the slider to zoom, then choose Use photo.
  5. Set the Overlay slider so the stamps still read against it.
  6. Choose Save Card Design.

The fitting window is the shape of a card, so you can see exactly what will sit behind the stamps rather than finding out after you save. A photo is also shrunk to the size a card uses on its way up, which is what stops a large one being refused.

What to send

  • PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 5 MB.
  • Landscape rather than portrait. The picture fills a card, and a card is wider than it is tall.
  • Something with a calm middle. The stamps sit over the centre, so a busy pattern there is the one thing that will not work.

Whatever you send is resized and cropped to the card shape, so the edges of a very tall or very wide picture will not all be used.

Replacing or removing it

Drop a new file on the same control to replace the picture. To go back to a plain card, remove the image and save: the card then uses the Stamp area background colour, or the Program colour if you have not set one.

Only you can see the picture until you save. Nothing on a customer card changes before that.

Still stuck?

If none of this covers it, send us a message and a person will reply. Tell us what you were doing when it went wrong, and we can usually sort it in one message.

So we can reply. We use it for nothing else.

Optional. Handy if it is quicker to talk it through.

A few words, such as: stamps not showing on a card.

What you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead.
