Show your Program name on the card

Card design

Running more than one loyalty card? Their names go on the front, so customers can tell them apart.

Your Loyalty Program name is mainly for organising your Programs: it is what tells them apart in your own lists and reports. It is not the name customers see at the top of the card, which is your Business name under Settings, then Brand.

If you run more than one loyalty card, though, your customers can end up holding two passes from you that look almost the same. So as soon as your account has a second Program, each card carries its Program name on the front, and a customer can see at a glance which is which.

You will only see this setting if you run more than one Loyalty Program. With one card there is nothing to tell apart, so the front stays as it is and there is nothing to switch.

Turn it off for one card

It is on by default once you have more than one Program, and it is set per Program, so you can leave one card named and take the name off another.

  1. Open Loyalty Programs, choose your Program, and go to the Card Design tab.
  2. Find the Program Name section.
  3. Turn Show Program Name on the card front off, or back on.
  4. Watch the preview beside the controls: the name appears and disappears at the top of the card.
  5. Choose Save Card Design.

To change the words, rename the Program on its Overview tab: the name is up to 24 characters, because that is what fits on the front of a card.

If you go back down to one Loyalty Program, the name comes off the front again and the setting disappears with it. Nothing is lost: your choice is remembered, so it comes back the way you left it if you add another Program later.

Where it shows up

  • Apple Wallet: at the top of the card, beside the stamp count.
  • Google Wallet: under your business name on the front of the card.
  • The card page a customer opens in a browser: the same corner as the preview shows.

A pass already on a customer’s phone picks up the change the next time that card is stamped or a reward is spent, like every other design change.

Still stuck?

If none of this covers it, send us a message and a person will reply. Tell us what you were doing when it went wrong, and we can usually sort it in one message.

So we can reply. We use it for nothing else.

Optional. Handy if it is quicker to talk it through.

A few words, such as: stamps not showing on a card.

What you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead.
