Manage your subscription

Account and billing

Where your card details, your invoices and your plan live, and who looks after them.

Account, then Billing, shows the plan you are on, how many customers you are using, and a badge saying where the subscription stands: active, cancelling at the end of the period, past due, and so on.

Everything else is Stripe

Payments, VAT, invoices and your card details are handled by Stripe rather than by us, which means we never see or store a card number. On Pro you get a Manage subscription with Stripe button that opens their billing portal, and from there you can change the card you pay with, read your invoices and cancel.

If a payment has failed

The badge says the payment is past due, and the account keeps working for seven days before anything closes; we email you the date, and Stripe will retry the card in the meantime. Updating the card in the Stripe portal is the whole fix, and everything comes back the moment the payment lands.

If seven days pass and the payment still has not gone through, we email the account owner to say the account is now limited to its Account and Billing pages. When the payment does go through, we email again to say so, and to confirm that everything is working.

Emails about your subscription

Stripe sends your receipts and invoices, and its own payment and card reminders where they are switched on. Separately, we email the account owner when something changes what the account can do: when Pro starts, when a cancellation is scheduled or withdrawn, and if the subscription is paused or ends.

Only an Administrator can open Billing. A Team Member does not see the tab at all.

Still stuck?

If none of this covers it, send us a message and a person will reply. Tell us what you were doing when it went wrong, and we can usually sort it in one message.

So we can reply. We use it for nothing else.

Optional. Handy if it is quicker to talk it through.

A few words, such as: stamps not showing on a card.

What you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead.
